Onyx MoveVent Torsion USCG Approved Paddle Sports Life Jacket, Red
Onyx's MoveVent Torsion USCG approved paddle sports life jacket in red, built around freedom of movement for paddling.
A kayaking life jacket is cut differently from a general boating one. The foam sits high and clear of a seat back, the armholes are open so your stroke is not restricted, and the panels are shaped so nothing rides up when you sit down. Buoyancy ratings, closure style, ventilation, pocket layout and certification all vary, and a jacket that fits badly is the one that stays clipped to the deck instead of on you. We weighed fit and freedom of movement against buoyancy, ventilation and useful pockets. Slim touring cuts suit distance paddlers who want nothing near their elbows. Ventilated high-back models suit hot weather and high seats. Fishing designs suit anglers who carry tools on the chest. Check the certification for your region, adjust every strap, and wear it fastened rather than carried.
