How this calculator works
Based on the height and boat width sizing charts paddle makers publish. Width is the main driver: under 23 in boats start around 210-220 cm, 24-28 in around 220-230 cm, 29-33 in around 230-240 cm and 34 in and wider around 240-260 cm. Taller paddlers move up one size, and a high-angle stroke moves down one.
