What we liked
- + Six inch round ABS deck plate with a red waterproof bag included in the kit.
- + Low price makes it an easy first step for adding access to a bulkhead.
- + Bright red bag is easy to see and pull out of the hatch.
Trade-offs
- - Small opening only suits compact items, so it is not a replacement for a full-size day hatch.
- - ABS is lighter than marine hardware, so heavy loads and rough use are better left to other picks.
